The Lost War
The Lost War was first shown at the Amsterdam conference ‘Dealing with Drugs’. Three photographers give an intense portrayal of the international drug trade and the consequences of the “war on drugs” on communities. Would you like to exhibit the photo series The Lost War?
The Street Speaks
In De Straat Spreekt project, young people who have worked in the drug industry—as extractors, couriers, or dealers—share their stories. This group of youth created a street newspaper filled with stories, role models, inspiration, and unique perspectives on Amsterdam. In addition to the street newspaper, these stories have also been showcased in a photo exhibition.

The Art of XTC
Dive into the captivating world of “The Art of XTC” exhibition, a dynamic collaboration between Poppi Drugs Museum, Adam Fierman, and photographer Peter Andrew Lusztyk. From January 17-21, 2024, at Vrij Paleis, explore the black market’s artistry in branding Dutch ecstasy pills through over 90 captivating images and signed coffee table books.

With this one-day mini expo at Vrij Paleis, Poppi gives a sneak peek of what’s to come in 2023. Experience a mind expanding VR-trip, attend a lecture on xtc, check out a docu about psylocybin use among war veterans, or dance your way into another dimension under the influence of DJ Drunx’s tunes.
Digital Drug Tour
The Digital Drug Tour is an original company outing where you can compete with your colleagues. The tour is also perfect for a solo or duo journey through the city. The tour leads you through the Amsterdam Red Light District and tells you about Amsterdam’s drug history through photos, gamified elements, short quizzes, unique videos, and text fragments. The tour is easily downloadable on your phone. Optional: book a talk with it and learn even more about drugs in the city!
Drug Monologues
Break the taboo around drugs and talk freely, anonymously or visibly, in this installation. Open conversations are needed to understand the deeper motivations behind use and learn how people maintain control over their use. Do you also want to have a good conversation about drugs?
XTC Shop
Imagine the government regulates the production and sale of ecstasy. Can anyone buy it anywhere? Or will there be an age limit and we will have strict supervision? In the xtc-shop, you decide! The xtc-shop will open its doors in Amsterdam between 16 October and November 24, 2024.
House of HIV
It has now been more than 40 years since the HIV virus was discovered. The photo series House of HIV takes visitors back to the dismay of the first devastating years when AIDS claimed young lives. Drug users also suffered heavily during the epidemic. From a period of loss, severe stigmatization, fear, and despair, activism grew, medication was invented, and solidarity blossomed.
