This privacy statement sets out how Poppi Drugs Museum (hereinafter referred to as ‘Poppi’ and ‘we’) uses and protects any personal information that you give to us. This privacy statement is being issued in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). Poppi is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Therefore Poppi is as transparent as possible in how it deals with personal data, and we aim to achieve this by means of this privacy statement.
This privacy statement sets out to whom the personal data belongs, what it is and why we collect and store it. You can also read about the legal basis for collecting personal data, who we can share it with and how we protect it. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
This privacy statement is effective from 10 February 2022. The most recent version can always be found on the website of Poppi. We would, therefore, advise you to check our websites regularly for new versions and to read the privacy statement.
Poppi Privacy Policy is not applicable to other websites. Poppi advises you to always read the privacy statements of those other websites for more detailed information, also in case of affiliated parties. This includes our affiliate partner who organises our ticket sales: Global Tickets (see under ‘Third Parties’).
USE OF PERSONAL DATA
Poppi limits the processing of personal data to an absolute minimum. However, we will require personal data for the provision of certain products and services offered by the museum. These services include tickets needed to participate in Poppi’s (online) experiences, pop-ups and events. The webshop also request certain personal data; this data is required in order to supply the ordered products or services correctly. Poppi’s webshop has been accredited by ‘Webshop Keurmerk’.
There are also other instances that require processing of your personal data, for instance when you subscribe to our newsletter, apply for a (volunteer) job at the museum or buy a share in our company.
Personal data will be stored for the shortest possible length of time, taking into account legal retention periods.
COOKIES OR SIMILAR TECHNIQUES WE USE
The Poppi website uses cookies to facilitate the proper functioning of the website. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. Poppi uses cookies with a purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preferred settings are remembered.
On your first visit to our website we inform you about these cookies and we ask for your permission to place them. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. In addition, you can also delete all information that was previously stored via the settings of your browser.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Poppi uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google Inc. may share the collected information with third parties if required to do so by law or to the extent that third parties process the information on behalf of Google. Google Analytics is not used by Poppi to collect personal data, except for the IP-address of the visitor using the website.
THIRD PARTIES
Your personal data is handled with the utmost care. In principle, this data will not be supplied to third parties, unless this is necessary for the service in question, or if we are legally obliged to do so. We do our utmost to ensure that this data is secured to the best of our ability.
We arrange a processor agreement with companies and partners that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data.
DATA OWNERSHIP
Whoever supplies her/his/their data to us is – and remains – the owner of this data. This means that the owner of this data has given permission for the personal data to be processed. It also means that the owner can revoke this permission and request that her/his/their data is deleted.
HOW WE PROTECT PERSONAL DATA
Poppi takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.
