The Lost War
The Lost War was first shown at the Amsterdam conference ‘Dealing with Drugs’. Three photographers give an intense portrayal of the international drug trade and the consequences of the “war on drugs” on communities. Would you like to exhibit the photo series The Lost War?
The Street Speaks
In De Straat Spreekt project, young people who have worked in the drug industry—as extractors, couriers, or dealers—share their stories. This group of youth created a street newspaper filled with stories, role models, inspiration, and unique perspectives on Amsterdam. In addition to the street newspaper, these stories have also been showcased in a photo exhibition.
House of HIV
It has now been more than 40 years since the HIV virus was discovered. The photo series House of HIV takes visitors back to the dismay of the first devastating years when AIDS claimed young lives. Drug users also suffered heavily during the epidemic. From a period of loss, severe stigmatization, fear, and despair, activism grew, medication was invented, and solidarity blossomed. Want to borrow House of HIV? That’s possible!
